WHAT WE DO FOR THE FOUNDATION.
The Cruyff Foundation runs events all year: youth clinics, Cruyff Court openings, sports days for children with disabilities, and bigger gatherings like the #CruyffLegacy campaign. For all of that they need materials — which have to be safely stored most of the year, and delivered to events when needed. Since 2022 we've done that for them, free of charge. Below: what this partnership looks like and why we do it.
1. THE STORAGE OF THEIR EVENT MATERIALS.
The Cruyff Foundation works with a lot of materials — panna pitches, training bibs, balls, signs, banners, sports gear for various projects. A big part of it sits at our hub all year — climate-controlled, secured, organised so they know exactly where what is. When an event approaches, we plan delivery.
2. THE LOGISTICS AROUND EVENTS.
For a Cruyff Court opening or youth event, we pick up the right materials from our storage and deliver them to the location. After the event the same in reverse. Sometimes they need extra storage on-site — then we drop a mini-container at the event location so everything stays organised. The foundation can focus on the event itself; we handle the rest.
3. THE SEASONAL MATERIALS.
Some items are seasonal — winter jackets for outdoor events, summer tents, materials for specific projects. They sit with us between seasons. No expensive warehouse needed for the foundation, no logistics team — we do the part we're good at, they do the part they're good at (getting children moving).
4. WHY WE DO THIS PRO BONO.
The Cruyff Foundation's work — getting kids moving, giving them sports opportunities, also reaching children with disabilities or from less-served neighbourhoods — matters to us. We're glad to contribute where it comes easy: storage and logistics are our trade, and we can put the extra capacity at our hub to use for this mission. No cash sponsorship, but a few less worries for the foundation.
WORKING AT A FOUNDATION OR NON-PROFIT?
What we do for the Cruyff Foundation, we also do for other causes we stand behind. No standard package or set model — we look per organisation at what fits, and what we can realistically contribute. Sometimes that's storage, sometimes logistics, sometimes a mini-container at an event. No application forms, just a conversation.
