Our driver calls about 30 minutes in advance and places the storage unit at your door. Your belongings are loaded in, the unit is sealed on the spot and goes straight to our storage in our truck. No van rental, no trailer — we handle the transport from start to finish.

What do you want to know about how we work?

At Inbox you choose how much help you want. Budget: you arrange transport to our location yourself (own van or external party) and get 10% off your monthly rate — ideal if you're already driving anyway. Basis: 1 driver who loads curbside — you bring belongings to the tailgate, he doesn't carry inside. BasisPlus: 1 driver plus max 30 minutes of carry-help between inside and the truck. Premium: 2 movers who carry from inside the house, organise the unit and load it — for large jobs (>36m³) we add extra movers or trucks. Note: we never pack for you; disassembly and wrapping of large furniture are optional add-ons. Not sure which package fits? Good prep saves time on-site and prevents surprises. Pack belongings in sturdy boxes (tips at /verpakinstructies) and pack fragile items like glass, electronics and art extra carefully. Report special or valuable items in advance — anything over €500 per item or €2,500 in total we need to know up front for insurance. Check accessibility: keep parking free for our truck and arrange a parking permit if needed. Share floor and lift if you booked BasisPlus or Premium so we know exactly who and what to send. Also keep a short inventory list — useful for any damage handling. Our planning team sends a checklist plus confirmation mail with driver name and time slot 2 days before pickup.

You know exactly what to expect. Our driver calls 30 minutes ahead to announce arrival and parks as agreed (loading bay or curb). We place the mobile storage unit at your door. Loading runs according to your package — Budget: everything ready at our location; Basis: we load from the curb; BasisPlus: 30 minutes carry-help; Premium: 2 movers carrying from inside the house into the unit. Then we seal the unit on-site — you watch us close the lock. We drive the unit to our secured, climate-controlled hub. You receive a confirmation with a photo of the sealed unit plus an access link in your customer portal. Before pickup you get a staffeltijd: estimated on-site duration, based on m³ + package. Overtime is billed per quarter-hour.

We've seen the edge cases before and we have clear arrangements. We arrive, you're not home: cancel at least 24 hours ahead at no cost; shorter than 24 hours means rescheduling against a small fee for the truck run. It doesn't fit the reserved unit: we add an extra unit on pickup day or upgrade to a larger size (see our size pages X-Small, Small, Medium and Large). Delay on our route: our planning calls immediately with a new ETA; you don't lose time. Items we cannot transport (e.g. forgotten prohibited goods found on-site): we advise on the spot and you decide what stays home. Unexpected extra work: when on-site reality demands more, we upgrade to BasisPlus or Premium against an extra fee. Questions during the day?
